No Tiff premiere for Perfect Sisters

Aug 9, 2012

A tweet from Bob Mitchell confirmed what I already feared.

Perfect Sisters will not be premiering at Tiff as we hoped, since the board didn't select the film for any of the screenings.
I don't know what will happen now and when they are going to screen it…or when we'll see a trailer.
We just have to wait and see.
Bob Mitchell's tweet

The last picture I find interesting because I was acutally posted before Mitchell's (obiously they have different times set in on their twitters), and it seems like she confirmed my suspicion too.

  1. I have a feeling the movie may not even be able to be in the movie theaters at this point because it is not able to be TFF'd I am making a huge guess it will not be able to be played in the movies or even able to be bough illegally as a film. Unless, they re do the film. My wishes come true and I would love to help with the remaking of the film sense it cannot go anywhere with how it is now, sadly, but I think it is completely true.

  2. @Hanna: I can assure you that they won't redo the film, and if they would do that they would by all certainty re-cast everyone, which would mean that Georgie and Abigail wouldn't be working in it.

And just because it didn't make into Tiff doesn't mean it won't be shown, at least a hundred films gets submitted to Tiff every year and even if they don't get chosen they will still be released, either in the cinemas or as a straight-to-DVD film.

  3. Alex,

They may have no clue there film is not going to be able to show on films or be bought illegally in the world because they just found out if they could put it on TIFF and they just checked the film meaning the film may not be rated or checked if it can be released, yet for another month or two or even week.

Meaning they may not even know there film will be able to be released at all, yet.

Meaning they are not even close to looking for people to replace and I have a pretty good feeling the girls; Abigail and Georgie will be able to re film the parts that change the story to be a dark movie to a very light and encouraging film. They may not have the money to re start completely with different actresses and actors.

I cannot wait to see the Perfect Sisters film either, but at the same time I am hoping it will not go through the to be able to bought illegally as a film in the world because how dark and evil it really is. I really want to see the film though so bad as it is and help them change it and keep some of the clips in the new film and better and cleaner version of Perfect Sisters. I mean cleaner version meaning PG13 version that is not as dark and evil as it is now.

  4. Alex,

I will prove to you what I see:

Here is more to the story:

That is why I thought in Perfect Sisters I could play a character called Caroline who is part of a missonary family who's father was married to Beth and Sandra mom, but then realized that it was no use because her drug addiction! Caroline doesn't know this until she comes back from university because she is a genius and only 15 she starts a recording studio for local students and teens who got talent like Sandra, Beth, and her. Sandra and Beth become BFFFS with Caroline on a rainy day because Caroline needed shelter so she stopped and stayed for the night at Sandra and Beth's house. Later, Sandra and Beth drag her to help drowned their mom and Caroline has no clue that the mom of Sandra and Beth is her mom too until Sandra and Beth go to jell! Then, when Sandra and Beth get out by Selena Gomez Caroline miss trust Sandra and Beth trying to be nice, but cannot! Caroline learns how to be a good sister with new set of family members and become a family they never tought possible. They start a band called Three Sisters. Additional: In the last scenes showing during the summer as a family is in London on London's eye. I was in the London's eye and I literally had flashes of how the filming is going and us acting in the London eye as it was turning and seeing it as if it was on screen!

  5. Alex,

If I played Caroline in this film and if my dream comes true. My character would have red hair to match the Georgie's character Beth with Black Hair and Abigail's character with blonde hair.

I will give you a facebook link once I get a picture of me with copper hair and red streaks, but Caroline would have completely red hair no copper in it, but that is the closest I can get, but I will show you a google or bing image or an image of the red hair I want Caroline to have in addition to the three of pictures Beth, Sandra, and my un real character un official picture of Caroline which is me.

  6. Hanna,

I'm sorry but you obviously don't get how things work with this. They can submit their film to any film festival, and they know that it wasn't selected, they are the first to find out and I know that they already have back-up plans for this. They don't just submit a film and think that they are going to make it for sure, they have back-up plans fro the release.

And to remake the film would be called a reboot, that means they start from scratch with new actresses, they don't have to pay more just because they change actresses because Georgie and Abigail would have to get paid all over again and they can actually demand more because of it, so it could be more expensive to keep the old actresses.

And I'm sorry but I don't think your idea would make a good movie, there are too many plot-holes. And the whole meaning with this film is that it's suppose to show one of the most terrible murders in Canada, a film based on a TRUE story.

I know how the film industry works, I have had my parts in it and I've studied it in school. They are going to release this film, either at a festival or independently. They are not going to remake it, if it doesn't get released at all the project will be dropped, not remade.

  7. Alex,
I agree with you, but they have changed the movie and how it works 4 to 5 months ago. So you maybe we are both wrong in areas and different areas not, but I have a strong feeling about it needing to be changed and etc. or make other movies and it would not be expensive because of the time we film and the money to us would probably be donated through Abigail Breslin, Georgie Henley, and all the cast who has money to help the film and their payment for the movie. They all ready have a enough money. I know they will be willing to pay them and donate to help it become a success and better and teach people and show realities of the girls in real life, but not the exact same story maybe. How I wrote it without knowing it! Who knows???

Georgie said that they ended in September 2011 of filming Perfect Sisters. Meaning they filmed for a about two whole months. I have feeling that is right!

  8. Hannah,

I doubt any actor would work for free, the business doesn't work like that.
But it doesn't matter because they will not re-shoot it. The director himself have said that they have talked to others that will help them premier the film. It will be premiering as it is, and having see it I can say that they don't need to change it to some untrue story. Two girls that murder their mother is something that will get people interested.
